- Carv communicates via Bluetooth 5.0
- Carv streams data live to your phone as you ski
- When your phone is connected to the internet, Carv will sync your data with the cloud, allowing you to share your progress with friends
Carv sends data to your phone using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). We use Bluetooth 5.0 if your phone supports it, or fall back to Bluetooth 4.0 if it doesn't.
Because Carv live streams data to your phone, you'll need your device with you at all times whilst it is in use. As you ski the data is processed on your phone and you are given feedback in real-time through your headphones. You can also get detailed analysis between runs on the Carv app.
Carv works without an internet connection, however you will not be able to receive weather updates, and will not be able to sync your progress with the Carv cloud to share with friends until you are back online.
At the moment, you can only view and analyse your data from a smartphone. There is not currently an online dashboard that you can view, though one is planned for the future.
