- Carv currently focuses on improving your on-piste skiing
- The drills and suggestions are therefore centred around the correct technique for groomed trails
- We plan to develop Carv to give direct feedback across all areas of the mountain in the future
What makes these areas different
The correct technique when skiing powder is significantly different when compared to skiing on a pisted or groomed run. As of the current time, Carv cannot give you direct tips to improve your technique in powder, bumps and moguls or in the park. However, these different disciplines of skiing benefit greatly from having a solid technical foundation and hence improvements in your on-piste performance can often be seen in other areas of your skiing!
The Carv hardware has the ability to give useful feedback for these different skiing disciplines, but the algorithms and software need to be developed. We're currently focused on perfecting the on-piste experience first, before we start developing drills and analysis for the other styles. We do plan to experiment and develop these in the future based on user demand.
