Whilst Carv does work with boot warmers, we don't recommend it.
Carv will not be affected under a constant temperature as high as 70°C (158°F) and can even sustain intermittent use up to as high as 121°C (250°F).
If you do install Carv and your boot warmers simultaneously, we recommend that you place Carv on top of the boot wamer to get the best data. Though if this causes Carv to bend significantly, try installing it on the bottom.
Why don't we recommend boot warmers?
There are two main reasons:
- Boot warmers need big battery packs that are also attached onto the back of the boot. Finding the space for both the Carv tracker and a big battery pack can be tricky.
- The boot warming insert generally also installs underneath your liner. Installing both Carv and a boot warmer at the same time will start eating into the available space you have down there and may cause foot discomfort.
