If your insert is slightly larger than the size of your boot, the insert may slide correctly into the shell but may not lie flat in the bottom of the boot.

If this is the case, push the insert as far forward in the boot as possible, and allow it to bend slightly at the heel as seen in the diagram below. If the red sticky tab is not securing the insert properly, use some of the black cable secure tape to help fix the insert in place, also show below.

Use your judgement, and if the bending is too severe you may need smaller insert.
