Battery Whitelist

The Android battery optimisation settings can sometimes infringe on Carv’s ability to connect to GPS signals, causing gaps or inaccuracies in the data from your run. They can also cause the Carv app to be killed in the background which will stop it from recording your runs.

The Carv app has a "Battery whitelist" option. This will allow Carv to be excluded from your phone's battery optimisation settings.

To access this head to the Carv app and then select: More > Settings > Battery whitelist > Toggle ON

If you cannot see the Battery Whitelist option, ensure that you have the latest version of the Carv app.

App Locking

For some Android devices, you have the option to "Lock" your app. This prevents your device from automatically closing the Carv app, which will interrupt your run tracking. Please see below for how to lock your app on different Android models.
